Custom Elevator Metal Component
Laser Cutting, Stamping & Welding for Elevator Applications
A custom Q235 carbon steel component manufactured to the customer’s drawing, combining laser cutting, stamping, welding, grinding and threaded features, followed by zinc plating.
Project Summary
Conwhole manufactured a custom Q235 carbon steel elevator metal component to the customer’s drawing. The component combines laser-cut and stamped metal parts with welded assembly and threaded features, produced through laser cutting, stamping, welding, grinding, threading and zinc plating. The project required consistent component positioning, reliable welding and accurate threaded features so the finished assembly stays stable and repeatable across batch production.

Manufacturing Challenges
The component combines multiple fabricated metal parts in a single welded assembly. Three key requirements had to be controlled for reliable fit and repeatable production.
Component Positioning
The stamped and laser-cut components need to be accurately positioned before welding to maintain the required assembly geometry.
Welding Consistency
Multiple metal components are joined through welding. Consistent positioning and weld quality are required to maintain a stable finished assembly.
Threaded Feature Accuracy
The threaded rod ends need to maintain the required thread profile and condition for downstream assembly.
Manufacturing Process
Six production stages were used to transform Q235 carbon steel into the finished elevator component.
Laser Cutting
Q235 carbon steel components are laser cut to the required profiles according to the customer’s drawing.
Stamping
Selected sheet-metal components are stamped and formed to achieve the required geometry before assembly.
Component Positioning & Assembly
The laser-cut and stamped components are positioned and assembled before final welding to maintain the required configuration.
Welding
The positioned components are welded together to create the required metal assembly.
Grinding & Threading
Welded areas are ground as required, while threaded rod ends are processed to provide the required connection feature.
Zinc Plating & Final Inspection
After fabrication and inspection, the completed components receive zinc plating for the specified surface condition and corrosion protection.

Common Questions
Q1: What is a custom elevator metal component?
A custom elevator metal component is a fabricated metal part for an elevator application, combining laser-cut and stamped Q235 carbon steel parts with welded assembly and threaded features. Conwhole manufactures it to the customer’s drawing rather than as an off-the-shelf product.
Q2: What manufacturing processes does Conwhole use for a custom elevator metal component?
Conwhole combines laser cutting, stamping, welding, grinding and threading, followed by zinc plating and final inspection.
Q3: Can Conwhole produce custom elevator metal components in batch?
Yes. This project was produced as a repeatable batch to the customer’s drawing, demonstrating consistent batch production rather than a single prototype.
Q4: What information do I need to get a quote?
A drawing or 3D file, together with the material, quantity and any surface-finishing requirements. Conwhole’s engineering team reviews the design and recommends a manufacturing process.
